History

Kharisma Bangsa School was established in 2006 by the Kharisma Bangsa Foundation, with support from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. The school’s inauguration took place on the 3rd of April, 2006, with Djusni Djohan as the founder and Prof. Dr. Suyanto, the Dirjen Dikdasmen, in attendance.

Kharisma Bangsa provides high-quality STEM-focused, college preparatory, and character education for KG, elementary, middle, and high school students (K-12). The school adopts an international curriculum and offers a boarding school system for middle and high school levels.

Located in Pondok Cabe, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Banten, the school boasts a 1.1-hectare campus area, providing an exceptional education with a unique approach to teaching and learning. The facilities include technology-integrated classrooms, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Laboratories, a Multi-Purpose Hall, four basketball courts, a tennis court, a futsal field, a Music and an Art Room, and separate dormitories for boys and girls.

In 2014, the government issued Permendikbud No. 31 of 2014, directing national plus private schools to transition their status to SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerja Sama) schools. To meet the requirements, the Kharisma Bangsa Foundation partnered with Amity College, a foreign educational institution, and obtained SPK status in 2015.

Since 2017, Kharisma Bangsa School has officially collaborated with Cambridge Assessment International Education and adopted the Cambridge education system. As an SPK school, Kharisma Bangsa offers subjects from both the national curriculum and the Cambridge curriculum. The national curriculum covers three mandatory subjects – Indonesian language, Islamic Religious Education, and Citizenship Education – while Cambridge’s international curriculum encompasses Science, Mathematics, and English. Additionally, Cambridge pathways such as Primary and Secondary Checkpoints, IGCSE, and AS/A level are included. The school also developed its own curriculum, including STEAM Education (Coding / Robotics), Character Education (Pendidikan Budi Pekerti), Fine Arts (Arts / Guitar / Keyboard), Foreign Language (Japanese / Arabic / Turkish), and Physical Education.

Kharisma Bangsa aims to educate future leaders who will serve as role models and responsible, inspiring citizens in their communities for the betterment of their countries and the world. The school ensures that its education system is optimized to the highest quality, fostering the development of students’ skills. With a focus on communication skills and the use of technology in the education process, Kharisma Bangsa creates an exceptional student learning environment.
